1. Who we are

Manabisa is a product studio based in Indonesia. Our websites and products — including Pintar (pintar.manabisa.com), janji (janji.manabisa.com), lumen (lumen.manabisa.com), and Manabisa Tools (tools.manabisa.com) — are operated by:

In these terms, "Manabisa", "we", "us" and "our" refer to that company. "You" refers to the person using our services.

2. Agreement to these terms

By accessing or using our websites or products, you agree to these terms, our Privacy Policy, and our Refund & Cancellation Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. If you are using our services on behalf of a child (see section 3), you accept these terms on that child's behalf.

Some products have their own terms on their own site, such as lumen's and Pintar's. They add to these terms; where they differ, the product's terms apply to that product. Refunds always follow our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

3. Eligibility and accounts

Pintar is designed for students in grades 5–9, who may be under 18 years old. If you are a minor, you may use Pintar only with the involvement and consent of a parent or legal guardian, who agrees to these terms on your behalf and is responsible for your use of the service, including any payment.

When you create an account you agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials secure. You are responsible for activity that happens under your account. Tell us promptly at support@manabisa.com if you believe your account has been used without your permission.

4. Our products

Pintar

Pintar is a daily quiz competition and study product for grades 5–9. It offers free practice drills and a paid plan (see section 5). We may add, change, or remove features, subjects, or competition mechanics as the product develops.

janji

janji is appointment booking with video and audio calls, for people and organisations who see others one-on-one. Hosts publish their services and availability; guests book from the host's link, without an account, and join the call in the browser or meet in person. janji is currently free. If we introduce paid plans, we will show the price before you choose one, and we will not charge you without your agreement.

If you take bookings with janji, you are responsible for the services you offer through it, for keeping your availability accurate, and for meeting the obligations of your profession towards your guests, including any consent you need before discussing or recording sensitive matters. A call is recorded only when your service records calls and the guest agrees. janji is a scheduling and calling tool: it is not a medical or professional record system and does not provide professional advice.

lumen

lumen is a photo editor. Its filters are free and run in your browser; its AI tools and a larger private gallery are part of lumen Pro, a paid pass (see section 5). lumen's terms cover the pass, your photos, and the AI tools.

Manabisa Tools

Manabisa Tools are small, single-purpose utilities that run entirely in your browser. They are free, require no account, and do not upload your files to us — your data stays on your device.

5. Buying our products

Prices are shown before you pay, together with the currency and any applicable taxes. Each app's own terms describe what its paid products include.

• Sold through Paddle. Our order process for some products, currently lumen Pro, is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle is the merchant of record for those orders: it sells the product to you, takes the payment, handles tax, and provides customer service for orders and returns, under Paddle's buyer terms.
• Sold by Manabisa. Other products, currently Pintar Pro, Family Pro, and the custom-handle credit, are sold by us directly and paid in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR) through our payment provider.

We do not receive or store your full card, bank, or e-wallet credentials; Paddle or our payment provider processes them. Our paid products are fixed access periods and do not renew automatically unless the checkout screen expressly states otherwise at the time of purchase. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund & Cancellation Policy.

6. Acceptable use

When using our services, you agree not to:

• break the law or infringe anyone's rights;
• cheat, manipulate scores or leaderboards, or interfere with fair competition;
• use janji to contact people who have not asked to book with you, or to record anyone without their consent;
• attempt to access accounts, data, or systems that are not yours;
• probe, scrape, overload, or disrupt our services or infrastructure;
• resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit the services without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate access that breaches these terms or harms other users.

7. Intellectual property

The services, including their content, software, design, and trademarks (such as the Manabisa, Pintar, janji, and lumen names and marks), are owned by Manabisa or our licensors and are protected by law. We grant you a limited, personal, non-transferable licence to use the services for their intended purpose. Content you submit remains yours, but you grant us the permission needed to operate and provide the services to you.

8. Third-party services

We rely on third parties to run our services — for example Paddle and our payment provider, cloud hosting, and email delivery. We are not responsible for the availability or actions of those third parties, though we choose them with care. See our Privacy Policy for how data is handled.

9. Disclaimers

Our services are provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, we do not warrant that the services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or fit for a particular purpose. Educational content is provided for learning and is not a guarantee of any academic result. Hosts on janji are responsible for the services they provide; we are not a party to the appointments booked through it.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Manabisa will not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential losses. Where liability cannot be excluded, our total liability for a paid product is limited to the amount you paid us for that product in the 30 days before the event giving rise to the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory Indonesian consumer law.

11. Changes

We may update these terms as our products evolve. When we make material changes we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you. Continuing to use the services after a change means you accept the updated terms.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Indonesia. Any dispute will be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Kabupaten Bandung Barat, West Java, Indonesia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections that apply to you.
